2009 - Greenwood Plum Pudding Night - Dec. 15, 2009

After Greenwood Chapter's stated meeting on Tuesday, December 15th, a nice crowd gathered in the dining room to enjoy their annual plum pudding ceremony.

The 5 table hostesses paraded around the room with the puddings, each topped by a candle in one of the 5 star point colors.

Greenwood Chapter was honored to have 8 members of Prince Hall OES as their guests including Grand Worthy Patron Larry Watson and Past Grand Matron Bennie Sue Wright.

Betty Odle furnished the recipe for the plum pudding.

The plum pudding was delicious and everyone enjoyed the fun and friendship.

WW GR Club Holiday Party, Dec. 13, 2009

Western Washington's current and former Grand Representatives joined together for a holiday party to honor WGM Marge Ramsdell and WGP Dennis Okicich at the Tacoma Elks. After enjoying a delicious dinner Cheryl McMahon gave us a politically correct interpretation of the Night Before Christmas and then Stephanie Hoye, with the assistance of her elves, treated everyone to an interactive interpretation of the Twelve Days of Christmas.

Pictures of the festivities are available here! Hopefully some better pictures will surface so everyone can see how well the WGM and others did interpreting "six geese a laying".

The elves were played by:
WGM Marge Ramsdell
WGP Dennis Okicich
AGC Gerry Mosler
Mary Bender
Michelle Burlison
Vicki Chamberlain
Karol Graham
Rose Gross
Melanie Jenson
Don McAmmond
Kathy Neubecker
Laura Vogel

And the roads were clear all the way home (or at least to south Snohomish County)!

OV - Nesika & Cyclamen, Dec 11, 2009

(Unofficial count) Almost 60 members gathered in Renton for the official visit of WGM Marge with WGP Dennis to Nesika and Cyclamen Chapters.

Nesika's WM Kim Williams and WP (PGP) Don Beck did a great job of welcoming everyone. They efficiently took care of the business of their regular meeting and then SANTA (who looked and sounded suspiciously like Chuck Kent) came bounding into the room with candy canes for everyone!

When Santa finished his chores and left the building, Cyclamen's WM Amy Smith and WP Ed Willert welcomed everyone then led the exemplification of a visitor with Al Jorgensen doing a great job giving the signs and passes.

There was a delicious dinner for a donation prior to the meeting and wonderful treats afterwards.

Bowling Team Update!!

The Inland Empire GINGERBREAD SPICES bowling team has just finished their third round of bowling and are managing to stay out of the gutters (MOST if the time!) We have been at the North Bowl Center in Spokane and plan to try Deer Park lanes and perhaps even Chewelah's little six lane center.

Our team consists of AGP Dick, his brother Bill and sister Joann, PGP Phil Green and Bonnie Rail.

How are the other teams out there doing?

We are scoping out the competition...HA!

Blessed Christmas to you and yours and safe travels!
